Floating cars in Venice
Here are a couple of news stories I saw recently that seem to link 'ancient and modern' Venice together. Firstly, a report in Wired magazine about an artist who creates floating, roadworthy wooden cars - and also a story on the BBC about Venice introducing city-wide WiFi wireless broadband connectivity. It's free for residents and chargeable for tourists.
